What is Micro Dermabrasion?
Medical micro dermabrasion is sometimes called the ‘lunch time peel’ and is a gentle, non – invasive process using crystals to abrade (remove) the layers of dead and damaged skin cells from the skins surface.
Microdermabrasion is a form of mechanical exfoliation of the surface skin. It uses a vacuum wand containing diamond tips or aluminum oxide crystals to gently cause abrasion to the epithelium (surface skin). It can be used to help improve appearance of acne, blackheads, and dull or rough skin.
DOES IT HURT AND WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE POST TREATMENT?
This treatment is on the milder end of the scale for mechanical exfoliation. It shouldn’t hurt, although some people may experience some mild discomfort at times. You may look a little red after the treatment, however this generally subsides quite quickly. Ultimately results will result in smoother, clearer and more polished looking skin with a decrease in fine lines and uneven texture and tone.
HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I HAVE?
